UN Dwarfs Enron

If he wanted to steal big, Ken Lay could have taken lessons from Kofi Annan.

A Bust

As a prospective sex object, Hil's even more of a bust than as a prospective President. Wuf!

From National Review Online
Hillary, Busted, byKathryn Jean Lopez

Kofi gets the booty and WE get the shaft.

Annan Must Go

Yup, it's a summer rerun. But I can't say it more graciously. Annan's hasty and gratuitous accusation that Israel hit the UN building intentionally is irresponsible at best, and stunningly inappropriate for one claiming to be an impartial broker. With this play, Annan tips his anti-Israel hand, and he needs to resign or to be removed forthwith.

Israel a Mistake?

Anti-Semitism of Euro-left comes to America.

Hunker Down With History, by Richard CohenTuesday, July 18, 2006; Page A19

The greatest mistake Israel could make at the moment is to forget that Israel itself is a mistake. It is an honest mistake, a well-intentioned mistake, a mistake for which no one is culpable, but the idea of creating a nation of European Jews in an area of Arab Muslims (and some Christians) has produced a century of warfare and terrorism of the sort we are seeing now. Israel fights Hezbollah in the north and Hamas in the south, but its most formidable enemy is history itself.

If Cuba were lobbing missiles on Florida, would we be urging 'restraint'?

UN: Keep Out

In disarming Hezbollah, Israel is doing the World's work. This may be the last opportunity to get this job done before the terrorists go nuclear. The last thing needed now is the UN to inject itself, or for the West to pressure Israel for restraint.

Peace Through Victory

Gillerman says it well on O'Reilly's show, and the video's on Hot Air.

Criticizing disproportionate response? It's just the Powell Doctrine, right?

Caption this. What's the translation of the Chinese text?

Joe Plame

Peter Sellers (and maybe Joan Rivers or Carole Burnett) couldn't do it better.

Now from the Radio Equalizer, and NewsBusters, it seems Joe is fantasizing mortal threats from listeners of Limbaugh, Hannity and beyond. More self-inflation from Wilson-Plame.

PC: Dungeon of the Mind

PC produces peer pressure to limit the cognitive choices of everyday life. It's a social engineering tool of the political left that shapes thought, deconstructs values and revises culture for political ends.

When I was a kid, we kids used to mock Stalin for pushing political correctness, and laugh at Russian society for swallowing it. After Stalin there was Mao.

Since then, PC's become a key tool of the American left.

War Dead Campaign for Democrats

Democrats Trying to Change Story

After getting smacked for trying to use the bodies of dead soldiers to raise money for the DCCC, the sneaky little Democrats have now altered their efforts to be less controversial.

In addition to now requiring an email address and zipcode to view the video, the DCCC has taken down the "contribute now" button that was underneath the ad.
Of course, RedState still has a copy of the original.

Israel's Past as Prologue

To show support for Israel, indeed for our Judeo-Christian heritage and Western Civilization.

Israel's history with terrorism is prologue for the USA.

Kim's Doomsday Clock

Bugger-Roos !

Making a movie on two homosexual cowboys is such a ridiculous concept that we'll be mocking it for a long time, I think. Leave it to Hollywood to put it 'in your face'.

Thanks to the 'new' left, diversity quotas have become the new 'discrimination'. The cure for 'discrimination' is not more discrimination.

The cure for racism is individualism.

Down with diversity. Up with excellence.

N. Korea missile aimed at area off Hawaii - report

TOKYO (Reuters) - A North Korean missile launched on Wednesday was aimed at an area of the ocean close to Hawaii, a Japanese newspaper reported on Friday.

Note: Missile aimed at Hawaii? Not to worry... lefties regard him as only a small child
posturing for attention. If we'd just be nice to him, he won't bomb us.

Life of the Party

From Scrappleface by Scott Orr:
Democrats Vow to Fight On After Zarqawi Loss

(2006-06-09) — As Blackberry devices and cell phones on Capitol Hill hummed with news of the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi yesterday, Congressional Democrats vowed that despite the loss they would fight on in “the war on the war on terror.”

“Zarqawi will be missed because he put a human face on the futility of the illegal U.S. occupation of Iraq,” said one unnamed lawmaker, who assured a reporter that “Democrats are still optimistic. We’re still looking for the silver lining.”

Rep. John Murtha, D-PA, a former Marine and vocal critic of the military occupation of Iraq, immediately denounced “the Zarqawi massacre” and suggested that the F-16 pilot who dropped the bombs had snapped under pressure and murdered the al Qaeda leader “in cold blood.”

July 4th

A personal note: I've been out of commission for a few days due to corrective eye surgery, but expect to be back in a day or two.
